InOut — Purchase, Return & Cash Flow Management Plugin
Version: 2.2.0 | Platform: GP247 / S-Cart
Introduction
InOut is a purchasing, returns and cash flow – debt management plugin for the GP247 (S-Cart) platform, aimed at business owners, store managers and internal accountants.
Who is this plugin for?
If you need to: manage purchase orders from suppliers, track returns & refunds, control income/expense and debts, and automatically update stock on purchase/return — then InOut is the plugin for you. After installation, new menu items appear under the Orders section of the admin sidebar.
Cash flow management for the business
InOut is a cash flow management tool for stores and small-to-medium businesses: every unit of money that really comes in or goes out — sales money, supplier payments, refunds, electricity, wages, old debts collected — sits in one cash book, backed by its source document and adding up with the rest. The owner no longer pieces spreadsheets and memory together to know where the money is.
| The owner's question | InOut answers with |
|---|---|
| How much came in, went out and is left this period? | The period summary, split by source: sales money (by payment date), purchase payments, supplier refunds, hand receipts/payments |
| Who owes me, whom do I owe, and how much? | Two-way debts for customers & suppliers, per-order detail, opening balances for old debts |
| How do I collect and pay debts with control? | Payment requests: send customers an online pay link, supplier payments go through someone with the pay-out right; when money moves the voucher is written and the debt drops by itself |
| Can anyone alter figures I already reported? | Period closing blocks every edit to old documents, plus the action history of who did what, when |
| Need documents for the accountant or a partner? | Receipt/payment vouchers, purchase and return orders, debt reports exported to Excel/PDF on templates with signature boxes |
Boundary to know up front: InOut tracks cash actually collected and paid and debts; it is not accounting software. It produces no profit-and-loss or balance sheet, no ledger accounts, no cost of goods sold, no bank statement reconciliation. The book is kept in the store's base currency; with Multi-Store each store has its own book. Think of InOut as the clean, document-backed money layer your accountant takes figures from — not a replacement for the accountant.

System requirements
- Platform: GP247 / S-Cart (core 3.1 or later).
Installation
There are 4 ways to install the InOut plugin (including the command line). See the GP247 extension installation guide.
After installation, the plugin auto-creates the "Inout Cash" permission group with all accounting operation rights. Assign this group to a staff account and they can use the plugin without admin rights.
- From the Online library (recommended): Admin → Extensions → Add-ons → Load from library tab → find InOut → install.
- Import zip file: Import file tab → choose the InOut zip → finish.
- Manual: copy the source into
app/GP247/Plugins/InOut, copypublicintopublic/GP247/Plugins/InOut, then install via the Stored locally tab.
Install from the command line (CLI, gp247 3.x)
Since gp247 3.x you can download InOut from the GP247 library and install it straight from the command line, without opening the admin. The plugin requires the gp247/shop package and the barryvdh/laravel-dompdf package (used for PDF export) on the website. Open a terminal in the website's root folder and run:
# 0) Install the required package (if not already present)
composer require barryvdh/laravel-dompdf
# 1) Once per website: register the (free) API License that connects the site to the GP247 library
php artisan gp247:ext-register-license
# 2) Download the plugin from the library and install it
php artisan gp247:ext-install --type=plugin --key=InOut
- Before step 1, make sure
APP_URLin.envis the website's real domain (nothttp://localhost) — the license is bound to that domain. - Once installed, the plugin is enabled and caches are refreshed automatically; nothing else is needed in the admin.
- The command checks the requirements declared in
gp247.json(core version, composer packages, required plugins) and stops with a clear message if something is missing (e.g.gp247/shoporbarryvdh/laravel-dompdfis not installed). - If the folder
app/GP247/Plugins/InOutis already on the server (copied manually or shipped with the installer), the command installs it in place instead of downloading it again. - The command refuses a plugin that is already installed. To move to a newer version, run
php artisan gp247:ext-update --type=plugin --key=InOut. - Append
--jsonto get machine-readable output (for scripts/CI). - More: Installing Plugins & Templates · Command reference.
